Training in Yr Eglwys Newydd
Team sport and the Village.
Team sport leads here. Powerleague Cardiff has football pitches, Whitchurch Rugby Sports & Social Club and Rhiwbina RFC play rugby, and Whitchurch Tennis Club and Whitchurch Bowling Club cover the racket and green. For your own training, Integra Fitness Cardiff offers personal training and JSTKD Martial Arts and Fitness teaches taekwondo.
Whitchurch station on the Coryton Line links the suburb to the city centre, and there's a Glamorganshire Canal nature reserve by the Taff at Melingriffith. Gareth Bale, Sam Warburton and Geraint Thomas all went to Whitchurch High School, so there's plenty of local inspiration if you want a training partner to push you.
