Training in Grangetown

Council gym, mats and the river.

Channel View Leisure Centre is run by Cardiff Council as CF11 Fitness, with a gym, sports halls, an outdoor astro pitch and a climbing wall. PureGym Cardiff Bay is the chain option. Rob Taylor Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Renegade Gym and Jamie Price Personal Training share a CF11 8EQ address, karate comes from Cardiff Shotokan School of Karate, and Cardiff Rowing Centre and Cardiff City Rowing Club take you out on the water.

Four parks give you room outdoors: Grange Gardens, Sevenoaks Park, the Marl and Grangemoor Park, which was laid on top of an old tip and opened in 2000. Sevenoaks Park has a full basketball court. Find someone for a regular riverside run, or a partner who turns up for the same jiu-jitsu class.
