Training in Bestwood

A leisure centre on the estate.

Bestwood Estate is a large council estate in north Nottingham, started in the 1930s and mostly built after the war. Southglade Leisure Centre on Southglade Road is the council's centre here, with a 25 m main pool, a small pool, a Technogym-equipped gym and a group cycling studio. Gannon's Martial Arts shares its postcode, and there are outdoor basketball courts at Beckhampton and Ridgeway.

Several Nottingham City Transport routes run through the estate along Southglade Road and Andover Road. A regular swim or class at Southglade is easier to keep up with a neighbour.
