Training in Dunkirk
Courts, pitches and a fitness trail.
Dunkirk is a residential area south-east of the University of Nottingham, and six in ten residents are aged 16 to 24. Its main venue is Nottingham Tennis Centre on University Boulevard, run by the Lawn Tennis Association, which offers tennis coaching, cardio tennis, padel, pickleball and a gym. Beeston Hockey Club, Nottingham Croquet Club, Wollaton Park Golf Club and the university's rugby union side are here too.
On University Park, the university's Active Trail links five outdoor workstations for bodyweight and calisthenics work. It's free and you don't need a membership, which makes it an easy first session with a new training partner.
