Southwark Park Sports and Athletics Centre has a six-lane outdoor track and a gym of about 50 stations, and Southwark Athletics Club is based there. Bacon's Community Sports Centre and St Paul's Sports Ground add more sport, and tennis is well covered, at Southwark Park, Canada Water Tennis and JW Tennis Club. For combat there's Aylwin Judo Club and Ju Dachi Martial Arts, and Gymanda is a small studio.

The riverbank carries part of the Thames Path, and Southwark Park's parkrun starts at 9am on Saturdays. Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill give you somewhere green away from the river. With a track, a park and a riverside path this close, a running partner is easy to put to use.
