Peckham Pulse on Melon Road is the council centre, with a 25 m pool, a warm hydrotherapy pool and a two-floor gym with a sled track. The Gym Group and F45 both carry the Peckham Rye name, and Anytime Fitness is in the same SE15 4 postcode district. Yogarise teaches yoga and reformer Pilates, London Community Boxing and Urban Fit & Fearless cover boxing and krav maga, and POWERfit Studio is a small independent.

In 1868 the local vestry bought Peckham Rye to keep it as common land, and Peckham Rye Park opened beside it in 1894. The park hosts a weekly parkrun, so there's a ready-made Saturday target if you want a running partner. Rye Lane is the main shopping street, handy for meeting before a session.
