Gyms in Inverleith
Scotland played home rugby internationals at Inverleith until 1925, and the suburb is still more park and playing field than gym floor.

Training in Inverleith
Parkland, pitches and fresh air.
Inverleith is almost all homes and green space, and its list follows suit. Edinburgh Outdoor Fitness runs group bootcamps in Inverleith Park, which also has council tennis and volleyball courts, and the list adds a fitness trail and several athletics fields. Stewart's Melville College Playing Fields are here too, and Inverleith Sports Ground off Ferry Road, now used by Stewart's Melville RFC, hosted Scotland's home internationals from 1899 until the move to Murrayfield in 1925. Indoors, the choice is small: Pilates with Wellbeing with Margo, and Powerplay's football at Broughton High School.
Inverleith Park opened in 1889 beside the Royal Botanic Garden, and cricket, rugby and football are all played on it, with a pond that model boat sailors love. If you'd rather train with someone than alone, the park is an easy place to meet: laps, a bootcamp, or doubles on the public courts.
