Ecclesall's list has four martial arts schools: Castle Martial Arts West, Sheffield Tae Kwon Do, the Sheffield Dojo of Tao Noy Sing karate and Sung Wing Chun. Ecclesall Lawn Tennis Club has a padel court too, and Water Merlins Swim School teaches children in a four-lane 25 m pool at Mylnhurst School, with some community lane swimming.
Ecclesall Woods is about 350 acres of ancient woodland, a local nature reserve with over 10 miles of footpaths, and a bluebell wood in spring. That's a lot of trail for a running partner, and a doubles pair keeps tennis and padel social.
